James Paul Moravec is a unique songwriter releasing music under his name. James is also the creative force behind The Crossing Crew. As a non-performing songwriter, his prolific output and hopeful storytelling own a unique space in the Modern Folk and Americana music genres.

 

With hundreds of songs to his name, Moravec’s work, include solo projects as "The Wonder Time" and "Starlight Lullaby," showcase a versatile blend of more than ten musical genres; primarily Modern Folk, Americana, Blues, Rock, and Pop. that’s both introspective and uplifting. 

 

Moravec delivers music that’s organic, emotionally resonant, and infused with a hopeful spirit, drawing comparisons to The Avett Brothers and The Band. James also crosses multiple music genres including pop/rock in the Album "Hit Record," and Singer/Songwriter genre in the album"Starlight Lullaby." 

 

James Paul’s songwriting philosophy, as he describes, lets the song idea lead the way, avoiding formulaic heartbreak ballads in favor of narratives about resilience and love that thrives. This approach results in music that feels fresh and personal, resonating with listeners seeking authenticity over mass appeal. While he does not write for Sync (commercial or film,) James had some work picked up and used in commercials.
